Voice of the Spirt is the latest CD from local musician Jack Giering, and Phil Keaggy and John Sferra.  The Clarion Presbyterian Choir also joined the production and Pastor Scott Hauser explains during the podcast that the CD is also being used as a fundraiser to help finance the church’s mission trip to Uganda. Listen

Courthouse Security: Check those guns at the door


Both Clarion and Jefferson Counties have security stations in both courthouses that require visitors to pass through a metal detector.  If the search finds any guns or other weapons, they must be checked at the door and are returned when the visitor leaves the courthouse.  Sheriffs Munsee and Gotwald talk about the security arrangement.
 

Safe Teenage Driver Competition

Jefferson and Clarion Counties have established a Safe Teen Driving Competition Program and will hold this year’s event on April 14.  Jefferson County Sheriff Carl Gotwald and Clarion County Sheriff Rex Munsee talk about the program and what it offers, including a $1,000 scholarship for the winner.

Mindy Gatesman: Clarion County Senior Wellness Council

Mindy Gatesman, chair of the Clarion County Senior Wellness Council, says that one of the keys in promoting wellness is changing the way you do things.  In this episode of Clarion Connection Mindy explains some of the background in the creation of the Wellness Council and how people can promote their own health.

The mission of the Senior Wellness Council is to provide educational, social, health and spiritual experiences for the aging population of Clarion County and neighboring communities.
