Artfunkle offers relaxed atmosphere for the Arts

Artfunkle owner John Miller talks about the artwork, used books, used vinyl record albums, and other activities at his Main Street store in Clarion.  The store's business plan is almost an anti-business, but Miller is having fun at what he does and is an important part of the arts community.

She came in through the bathroom window

Retired nurse Rosemary Nachtwey talks about her days as a registered nurse with the Clarion Area Agency on Aging and how she met the needs of her patients, including going in through a bathroom window.  The Area Agency on Aging is facing a cut of over $200,000 funding it its waiver program that allows qualified seniors to stay in their homes as opposed to going into a nursing home.  The cuts impact a potion of the waiver services, including the elimination of registered nurses for supervision of the patients.

Clarion Free Library will offer digital books

Clarion Free Library offers many services, but they will soon be offering digital downloads that will allow you to log on and borrow a book for your iPad, Nook, or other device.

 
Announcements about Vacation Bible School were not allowed to be distributed by students to their classmates at the Keystone School District. Parent Jody Shawley questions the school administration on the change in policy.
